Uniconnect Edge 1.0.0 is the first official release of the Edge softphone. This release mainly focuses on:

  • Improving call and conference reliability
  • Fixing UI and Dock Mode issues
  • Enhancing login, dialer, and call visibility
  • Adding usability improvements requested by users;

01Smart User Search with Real-Time Availability (Dialer)

Users can now check a colleague’s availability before making a call. When typing a user name or extension number in the dial pad, results appear instantly along with the user’s availability status (Available / Away). This helps avoid unnecessary call attempts and improves call efficiency.
02Call History with Smart Search

Call history now includes a powerful search option. Users can quickly find past calls by typing a phone number (full or partial) or a saved contact name. Matching records appear instantly with additional call details, reducing the time spent scrolling through call logs.

01Network Change Error During Active Shift

Fixed an issue where switching internet connections (Wi-Fi or mobile data) during an active shift caused an error. Network changes are now handled smoothly without interrupting the shift.
02Conference Call Handling When a Participant Declines

Resolved an issue where declined conference calls were incorrectly shown as answered and caused the main call to be placed on hold. Declined calls now disconnect immediately and the original call continues without interruption.
03Application Not Opening from Desktop Icon

Fixed an issue where the application failed to reopen after closing when launched from the desktop icon. The application now opens correctly every time.
04Contact Names Not Visible in Conference Calls

Fixed an issue where only phone numbers were shown during conference calls. Saved contact names are now displayed correctly for better call identification.

KNOWN ISSUES & LIMITATIONS

User availability shown in the dialer may not always update in real time.
Close and minimize options may be unavailable before starting a shift.
When multiple contacts share the same name, the correct contact name or selection list may not display properly.
Contact lists in the dialer may not be fully accessible using keyboard arrow keys.
While creating dashboard widgets, multiple values can be added to the value field.
The Edge Dashboard configuration screen currently displays a maximum of 10 widgets.
Newly created widgets may require logging out and logging back in to appear on the dashboard.
Long widget names may appear truncated and not fully visible within the widget view.
Layout issues may occur in dock mode when using dual-screen setups.
